Policy - Your Privacy Is Our Priority !
Old Dominion University Credit Union, Inc., has strict policies
governing employee access to member records. We access member
accounts, records or reports for authorized business purposes
only. We educate our employees about their obligation to safeguard
member information and telephone calls, and we hold them accountable
for their actions.
Privacy is a priority with this credit union. When services
are introduced, we will inform you of any privacy implications
as required by law.
The Information we obtain and how we
use it:
The Credit union only obtains information about members that
enhances the delivery of services to our members and
insures the financial integrity of the credit union.
Much of your information is reflected on your monthly share
draft statement and your quarterly share statement. If an
inaccuracy appears on your statement, please contact the credit
union office.
We provide useful information to our members about new services
and improvements to existing services. The credit union will
inform you if, under law, you must be given the right to "opt
out" of a service and will take all reasonable steps to make
sure your requests are followed. At least once a year,
you will be apprised of our privacy policy principals.
Disclosure of Information Outside Old
Dominion University Credit Union, Inc.:
On occasion, non-public information collected by the credit
union, but not readily available from public sources,
may be shared as permitted by law.
Although we use extreme care in selecting organizations
which provide services to our members and are assured
your information will be protected, they each have their own
privacy policies and standards. Thus, if you accept
service or product that is not totally serviced in house
by the credit union, you accept those services without warrant,
expressed or implied.
In the future, if we contract with non affiliated third parties
which legally require an "opt out" notice, we will notify
you so you may excercise your option. You will have thirty
days to excercise your option.
